Classic Santa Rita Hills tropical aromas, richly textured, very elegant, long fruit finish.
Sta. Rita Hills
Aged for 8 months in tight-grained French oak barrels (20% new, 80% 2-3 year old).
The grapes were picked in the cool morning and whole-cluster pressed. The juice was racked into French oak barrels and fermented at a cool temperature. 100% malo-lactic fermentation.
These grapes were grown at the Esperanza Vineyard in the western edge of the Santa Rita Hills appellation. The nearby Pacific Ocean maintains a very cool climate and allows the grapes to retain all of their delicate flavors as they ripen to maturity.
The color is a medium straw with aromas of lemon with notes of fresh pineapple and vanilla. The palate is bright elegant tropical flavors, rich creamy texture, long fruit finish.
Food Pairing Notes
