Made from the “Musqué” clone of Sauvignon Blanc in Block One of our estate vineyard, this wine has inviting citrus and floral aromas and an elegant finish of white peach and Bosc pear.
100% Sauvignon Blanc
Santa Ynez Valley
September 9th and 19th
The wine was aged for 6 months in stainless steel tank.
The grapes were picked in the cool mornings and immediately pressed. After chilling and settling the juice, the clear juice was racked into stainless steel tank and fermented at a cool temperature.
This wine is made from the estate’s highly aromatic “Musqué” clone of Sauvignon Blanc, planted in “Block 1” right next to the winery. Half of the grapes were picked early to capture the bright fresh Sauvignon Musque flavors, and the other half picked later to add richness and depth to the body.
The color is a medium straw with aromas of classic Sauvignon Blanc, fresh wildflowers, grassy, lemon. The palate is bright flavors of green fig and fresh pear, with lemon and floral notes.
